BRIEF
– An open, light space
– Multifunctional; transition between day and night
– Sensitive to their artists and needs i.e. privacy and feeling relaxed
– Create an interesting space, not too much like a formal office
– Storage for collection of art and music
– Place to use for photoshoots/preview music and videos
MAIN ROOM
– A curved light sweeps through the space highlighting a soft curtain that gently divides the space whilst providing a calm and quiet sense of movement to create a relaxed environment
– The curtain also acts as a multi-functional piece both to divide spaces and act as a backdrop to photoshoots
– A storage wall with sliding doors transforms the mundane into art where storage is both hidden and framed in an ever changing display of records, magazines and art work
– LED lights within the shelving change the space from daytime to night-time where a pop art inspired scheme turns a working environment into a party space
INTERVIEW ROOM
– A relaxed, separate room where both interviewer and interviewee can feel relaxed and comfortable in a light room, lined with the fluid shapes and movement of the curtain with hints of gold within an assortment of Tom Dixon lights
– A very small space enhanced with concave and convex mirrors to both extend the space and transform an everyday experience into one where reflections become twisted and shifted
W/C
– A small space that uses sharp geometric angles to hide and reveal spaces to enhance the idea of space.
– A bespoke sink eschews taps in favour of a sink where water simply falls away into the corner. Users simply rest their hands inside the sink and allow the water to wash over them
